- AZ ABLE accounts are specialized savings and investment accounts for Arizona residents with disabilities. The account allows money to be saved and invested without losing eligibility for certain public benefits, like Medicaid and Supplemental Security Income (SSI). Before AZ ABLE accounts, people with disabilities could only save a total of $2,000 before losing their benefits. Now, at least $17,000 can be saved each year to build financial security.
- After an AZ ABLE account is opened, eligible state employees can directly deposit paycheck earnings for themselves or their eligible family members.
