Update: Phoenix Children’s Hospital Returns to the BlueCross BlueShield of Arizona Network
- As of February 8, 2025, members can access in-network care with Phoenix Children's. Confirm that your provider is in the network here.
- Claims processed while Phoenix Children’s was out-of-network will be reprocessed as in-network. This process may take a few months to complete.
- Members can monitor their benefits by registering or logging into their AZ Blue member portal at azblue.com/member.
The State offers retirees the Triple Choice Plan, which is available from Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona and UnitedHealthcare. Each carrier offers its own broad nationwide provider networks. |

- The State of Arizona offers medical coverage through two medical carriers. The plan is identical for each carrier. The difference is the provider networks. Both carriers offer coverage nationwide.
- When choosing a plan, check with the carrier websites to ensure your providers are on the plan. Do not use the main carrier websites. Use the links provided here.
